With just the right amount of creaminess, sweetness, and subtle spice, this iced cinnamon roll latte is spectacular!

The addition of cold, creamy milk and sweet cinnamon-vanilla syrup serves to enhance the flavors in this brew perfectly, flooding your senses with fond cinnamon roll sampling memories with each sip.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cold brewed Lifeboost Frosted Cinnamon Roll Coffee
  • 1-2 tablespoons cinnamon-vanilla syrup (see recipe below)
  • 1 cup whole milk (or non dairy milk of your choice)
  • Ice
  • Whipped cream, optional for topping
  • Ground cinnamon, optional for topping

Instructions

  • Add ice to a tall glass.
  • Add cinnamon-vanilla syrup to the glass, then top with cold brew and milk. Stir to combine.
  • Top with whipped cream and a dusting of ground cinnamon, if desired, and enjoy!

Cinnamon-Vanilla Syrup

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

In a small saucepan combine sugar and water. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring frequently to ensure sugar fully dissolves.

Bring mixture to a boil, then simmer for 2-3 minutes. While simmering, stir in ground cinnamon.

Cinnamon Roll Coffee Creamer

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (If you’re planning to froth this later, whole milk or 2% milk works well to do this.)
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 2 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons packed light brown sugar

Instructions

  • Add milk, half and half, and brown sugar to a medium saucepan. Whisk to combine, then heat over low heat. Do not allow the mixture to boil, you’re just seeking to fully warm all ingredients and dissolve the sugar.
  • Once warmed through, remove the mixture from the heat and whisk in cinnamon and vanilla.
  • Allow the creamer to cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Prior to use, be sure to shake the creamer as the cinnamon may settle.

3- Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

This cinnamon roll recipe is a sure palate pleaser and a perfect companion to this smooth, buttery, seemingly sweet, and subtly spicy brew.

Ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • 1 cup whole milk (warmed to approximately 100 degrees fahrenheit)
  • ⅔ cup sugar, divided
  • 1 ½ tablespoons active dry yeast
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature, cut into 4 pieces
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 4 ½ cups all purpose flour, or bread flour, plus more as needed
  • 2 teaspoons oil (for bowl)


For the filling:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ⅔ cup packed light (or dark) brown sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon

For the frosting:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract



**Note: This works best using a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook and paddle attachment. If you do not have a stand mixer, the dough is best mixed with a large wooden spoon or silicone spatula. It takes a bit of effort, but I’ve found mixing by hand to be the best option if you don’t have a stand mixer.

Instructions

1. To prepare the dough, whisk warm milk, 2 tablespoons sugar, and yeast together in a large mixing bowl or the bowl of your stand mixer.

2. Cover the mixture and allow it to rest for about 5 minutes or until it gets foamy on top.

3. Now, beat in the remaining sugar and softened butter on medium speed until the butter is slightly broken up.

4. Add eggs and salt and continue beating on medium speed until combined. (It’s okay if the butter remains in pieces at this step as it doesn’t need to be fully incorporated into the mixture at this point.)

5. Reduce the mixer speed to low, and add flour, one cup at a time. You’ll need to make sure the flour is fully incorporated each time before adding another cup. You can stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. After you’ve added 4 cups of flour, add the last ½ cup and continue mixing until the dough comes together and pulls away from the sides of the mixing bowl. This should take roughly 3 minutes, and the dough should be soft.

6. Using the dough hook on your stand mixer, beat for an additional 5 minutes. If you’ve been mixing by hand instead, you can transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface at this point and knead by hand for 5 minutes. If the dough becomes too sticky, sprinkle only a teaspoon of flour at a time on the dough or on your work surface/mixing bowl to make the dough soft again. Be careful not to add more flour than needed as this can result in overly dry cinnamon rolls.

7. When you’re finished kneading, the dough should still feel slightly soft. Poke the dough with your finger, and if it bounces back slowly, this lets you know it’s ready to rise.

8. For the first rise, using a bit of oil or cooking spray, lightly grease a large bowl. Place the dough in the bowl, turning it to ensure all sides are coated with the oil. Cover the bowl (using aluminum foil, plastic wrap, or a clean towel), and allow the dough to rise in a relatively warm environment for 2 hours or until the dough has doubled in size.

9. Grease the bottom and sides of a 13x9 baking dish (or line with parchment paper).

10. Punch down the dough to release the air, then place onto a lightly floured work surface.

11. Using a lightly floured rolling pin, roll out the dough into a 12x18 rectangle. Make sure the dough is smooth and even in thickness. While rolling it out, if the dough keeps shrinking, stop the process, lightly cover the dough, and allow it to rest for 10 minutes to relax the gluten. This should allow the dough to stretch much more easily.

12. Once the dough is rolled out, for the filling you’ll first spread the softened butter all over the dough. Make sure the butter is completely softened, so it will spread easily.

13. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the butter.

14. Tightly roll up the dough to form an 18 inch long log. Should some of the filling spill as you roll it out, just sprinkle it on top of the dough roll.

15. With a sharp knife, cut into 12 even rolls (roughly 1.5 inches each), and arrange evenly in the greased baking dish.

16. Cover the rolls in the baking dish and allow them to rise (for the second time) for approximately one hour or until puffy.

17. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Bake cinnamon rolls for 25-28 minutes or until they are lightly browned on top. After 15 minutes of baking, tent a piece of aluminum foil over the top of the pan to prevent the tops from browning too quickly.

18. Once removed from the oven, allow the pan of cinnamon rolls to cool slightly on a wire rack for roughly 10 minutes while you prepare the frosting.

19. For the frosting, beat cream cheese on medium speed in a bowl until smooth and creamy.

20. Add powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla, and beat on low speed for 30 seconds. Then, switch to high speed and beat for 1 minute.

21. Spread frosting over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve immediately.

22. Store remaining cinnamon rolls at room temperature, covered, for up to 2 days (or refrigerated for up to 5 days).

**To make ahead, you can simply follow the above instructions, stopping prior to the second rise (in step 16). At this point, you’ll cover the rolls tightly and refrigerate for 8-12 hours.

The next morning, remove the rolls from the refrigerator and allow them to rise on the counter for 1-2 hours prior to baking.

Coffee Infused Frosting

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons strongly brewed Lifeboost Frosted Cinnamon Roll Coffee
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, room temperature

Mix powdered sugar, coffee, butter, and vanilla in a medium sized bowl until smooth. Spoon over warm, fresh cinnamon rolls. Serve immediately.
