All Things Irish Cream - Recipes For Irish Cream Coffee Syrup, Creamer, Cold Foam, Cocktails, Cold Brew, And More
First - syrup, creamer, and cold foam…
Before we craft some decadently delicious Irish Cream Coffee recipes, let’s start with a few basics - recipes for Irish Cream coffee syrup, creamer, and cold foam.
Preparing these and storing in your refrigerator until time to use can transform your daily cup of joe in seconds, allowing you to amplify the flavors in your brew with only a teaspoon, a splash, maybe a bit of frothing, and voilá, Irish cream flavors on demand!
When using in your cup of Lifeboost Irish Cream Coffee, you’ll likely only need a small amount to bring out these incredible infusions, but I think you’ll find the use of these tasty upgrades to be just the thing you never knew you needed to top off your tasty brew!
1- Irish Cream Coffee Syrup

Add a touch to your brew, or use this one to customize cold foam, whipped cream toppings, creamers, and more.
Hmmm, speaking of more, an Irish Cream Coffee milkshake sounds incredible…a few teaspoons of this syrup, some cold brewed Lifeboost Irish Cream Coffee, a splash of heavy cream, and a few scoops of French vanilla ice cream (or one scoop French vanilla and one scoop chocolate) ...now that sounds like a fantastic treat!
No matter how you use it, this syrup is a staple for Irish Cream lovers!
Ingredients
- ½ cup cane sugar
- ½ cup filtered water
- ¾ teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons coarsely ground Lifeboost Irish Cream Coffee
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon Irish whiskey (optional)
Instructions
- Add sugar, coarsely ground coffee, and water to a small saucepan and heat over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved.
- Turn off the heat and whisk in cocoa powder until no lumps remain.
- Stir in vanilla and whiskey (if using).
- Strain the syrup into a jar using a fine mesh strainer to remove the coffee grounds.
- Allow to cool completely, then store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
2- Irish Cream Coffee Creamer

Prefer to skip the flavored syrups and opt for a versatile Irish Cream flavored creamer instead?
This one is sweet, creamy, and boasts those vanilla and cocoa notes we all love in Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur…minus the alcohol!
A small touch in your Lifeboost Irish Cream Coffee, hot or cold, truly hits the spot!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups half and half (or heavy cream for a richer, creamier, less lactose alternative)
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 14 ounce can sweeten condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine half and half and cocoa powder in a small saucepan. Warm over medium heat, whisking continually, until the mixture is steaming and the cocoa powder is dissolved. (Do not boil.)
- Remove from heat and stir in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla.
- Transfer to a glass jar and cool completely.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Keeps for up to 10 days in the refrigerator.
3- Irish Cream Cold Foam

If you’re like me, cold foam is a staple!
I’m a cold brew fan through and through, and more often than not, I prefer to enjoy my cold brew with something delicious on top of it, rather than opting for syrups or creamers to stir into it.
This Irish Cream cold foam can be made using Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur for a boozy foam topper, or you can substitute this ingredient for a little bit of the Irish Cream syrup from recipe #1 above for an alcohol-free cold foam…you know, for the business part of your day, saving the party for later.
**Be sure to check out the recipe modifications immediately after the instructions for the simple swaps needed to omit the alcohol in this recipe.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a glass jar and froth using a handheld frother until smooth, creamy, and foamy.
- Top your prepared Lifeboost coffee with cold foam and enjoy!
*This will make more than a single serving, so feel free to mix and store in the refrigerator, only adding ⅓ to ½ of the mixture to a glass at a time for frothing.
**To make this cold foam without alcohol, I recommend removing both the Bailey’s and the tablespoon of sugar.
Then, add heavy cream, milk, vanilla, and 2 teaspoons Irish Cream Coffee Syrup (from recipe #1 above) to a glass jar, and froth using a handheld frother.
Now for the Irish Cream Coffee Recipes…
4- Traditional Irish Coffee

Originally a warm (and warming) cup made for a band of stranded, cold, and weary travellers, Irish Coffee has now become a favorite for folks far beyond the Emerald Isle.
With a base of piping hot coffee, a touch of added sweetness, Irish whiskey, and buttery finish, this one is basic but bold, simple yet sophisticated, and creatively contrasting with a topping of cool cream.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces freshly brewed Lifeboost Irish Cream Coffee
- 1-2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 ½ ounces Irish whiskey
- ¼ cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Pour hot coffee into a mug, then stir in the brown sugar and whiskey.
- Add heavy cream to a small bowl and whisk or froth just until thickened. The goal here is to place a stable topping on your cocktail, not a whipped cream.
- Pour the thickened cream over the back of a spoon onto the top of your cocktail. Enjoy!
5- Non-alcoholic Irish Coffee

Want those Irish coffee tastes without the addition of alcohol, this one’s for you!
While whiskey and rum are two different spirits, many find the addition of rum extract to similarly accomplish the overall experience of an Irish Coffee without the actual alcohol component.
If you’re a purest and such an addition doesn’t suit your fancy, you can omit the rum extract altogether.
As Lifeboost Irish Cream Coffee already mimics the flavors of true Irish Cream, you may find these tastes are accomplished merely with the addition of a touch of brown sugar and a topping of heavy cream.
If you’re on the fence, I recommend trying this one without the rum extract, then after a few sips, you can add in a touch and see how you like it.
Personally, I must say this one’s tasty with and without the extract. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 6 ounces freshly brewed Lifeboost Irish Cream Coffee
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon rum extract
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- Cocoa powder, optional for garnish
Instructions
- Pour freshly brewed coffee into a mug, then stir in brown sugar and rum extract.
- Add heavy cream to a small bowl or glass and froth just until slightly thickened (it still needs to be pourable).
- Pour the cream over the back of a spoon onto the top of the coffee.
- Dust the surface of the cream with cocoa powder, if desired, and enjoy!
6- Irish Cream Cold Brew

Coffeehouse chains may have put this one on the map, but learning to make a few tweaks and enjoy a decadent Irish cream cold brew at home is really where it’s at!
Of course, when crafting this one at home, you can also choose to make it a cocktail with the addition of Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur, perfect for parties, gal gatherings, or simply a night enjoyed from the comforts of your favorite chair.
But rest assured, even without the addition of Irish Cream, this one is ‘chef’s kiss!’
**You can also use the Irish Cream Cold Foam recipe above (recipe #3) in this one. The one listed below simply scales down those ingredients for a single serving.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces cold brewed Lifeboost Irish Cream Coffee
- 1 ½ teaspoons Irish Cream syrup (see recipe #1 above)
- Ice
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon 2% milk
- 1 tablespoon Irish Cream syrup (again, see recipe #1 above)
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder (for garnish)
Instructions
- Add ice to a tall glass and top with cold brew.
- Stir in Irish Cream syrup.
- Add heavy cream, milk, and 1 tablespoon of Irish Cream syrup to a glass and froth using a handheld frother.
- Top Irish Cream cold brew with the cold foam, then garnish with a dusting of cocoa powder, if desired. Enjoy!
7- Irish Cream HoCho

Creamy and sweet, rich and decadent, this Irish Cream hot chocolate takes HoCho to the next level.
For a richer Irish Cream flavor, you could certainly add an ounce or two of Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur, but this one is great as-is too.
Think mocha meets velvety vanilla with a smooth, near buttery creaminess that can’t be beat!
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 12-16 ounces strongly brewed Lifeboost Irish Cream Coffee
- 2 ½ cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ⅓ cup real maple syrup
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 6 ounces semi-sweet, or dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Irish Cream syrup (see recipe #1 above)
Instructions
- Add ½ cup heavy cream and Irish Cream syrup to a small bowl and mix or whisk until soft peaks form. Set aside.
- Add milk, 1 cup heavy cream, maple syrup, cocoa powder, and chocolate to a medium saucepan and heat over medium-low heat until all ingredients are incorporated and the mixture is hot. You’ll want it to be almost boiling but not boiling. Stir frequently to make sure the ingredients don’t settle to the bottom of the pan and burn.
- Once the mixture is steaming, divide between 4 mugs, then stir in 3-4 ounces of coffee into each mug.
- Top each mug with a few dollops of Irish Cream whipped cream and enjoy!
8- Bonus: Irish Cream Coffee Cake

We’ve been ‘having our coffee and drinking it too’ with this tasty collection of coffee treats, so why not add a piece of cake as well!
This Irish cream coffee cake makes the perfect companion for a simple, smooth, and delicious cup of our Irish Cream Coffee.
The subtle sweetness, the rich, buttery finish…a sip like that deserves a perfectly paired cake, and this one’s just what any Irish Cream cup calls for!
Like most coffee cakes, you can expect a stiff batter, something you’ll appreciate as each long sip of your brew enjoyed alongside a sweet bite serves to evenly mingle these timeless flavors.
Ingredients
For the streusel:
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup unbleached all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the cake batter:
- 1 ¾ cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup cane sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur
For the glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, prepare the streusel by whisking flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Add melted butter, stir until well combined, then set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, then set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix butter, cane sugar, and brown sugar, beating for roughly 3 minutes until light and fluffy. (Scrape the sides of the bowl with a spatula throughout mixing to ensure all sugar is evenly mixed.)
- Set the mixer to medium-high and add eggs one at a time, beating until incorporated.
- Add vanilla and sour cream, and again, mix until combined.
- Turn the mixer to low speed, add half of the flour mixture, and mix for a few seconds.
- Add Bailey’s Irish Cream, mix for a few more seconds, then add the remaining flour mixture.
- Mix only until combined. (Coffee cakes are easily over mixed, avoid this by only mixing until the ingredients are combined.)
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly into the pan.
- Top with half of the streusel mixture, then pour the remaining batter on top.
- Top with the remaining streusel mixture.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Set the pan on a wire rack to cool for at least 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar and Bailey’s, whisking until a smooth glaze forms.
- Drizzle over the coffee cake, slice, serve, and enjoy!
